What this covers
Cookies and similar browser storage (such as local storage) are small pieces of data a website saves on your device.
What VanStamp uses
VanStamp uses only what is needed to run the service:
| Purpose | What it does |
|---|---|
| Signing in | Keeps you signed in as you move between pages and helps keep your account secure |
| Security | Helps protect against misuse |
| Remembering settings | For example, keeping the screen or tab you were on, a form you hadn't finished, that you said you're still working on a long shift, your chat with Viki, our website assistant, until you close the tab, and for 30 days a plan you picked with Viki, so the Billing page can offer it |
| Start-up screen | On iPhone and iPad, remembers that the VanStamp logo has already been shown, so it only appears once each time you open the app. Cleared when you close the app. |
| Installing the app | A small background script (a "service worker") lets you add VanStamp to your home screen. It doesn't store your data or track you. |
These are "strictly necessary" for a service you have asked for, so UK law does not require your consent, and we don't show a cookie banner.
What we don't use
We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't use tools that track you across other websites.
If this changes
If we add website analytics, we will only use simple, aggregate measurement, explain it here, and give you a free and easy way to opt out. Anything beyond that would need your consent first.
Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the ones we need, you won't be able to sign in.
